Hi jayashree mam,
It was really wonderful to visit your blog.Saw the photographs and saw my children handling my personal Laptop so confidently that i can't say our kids are long back and using outdated tools. You know mam i never had to teach my kids about operating my Laptop and even surfing on the net they have learnt on their own.My daughter is using it very efficiently for her studies in geography and other subjects to get new information ,even my son is very confident in using it.He goes on yahoo network and selects the games (cars & bikes, tom & jerry, and many other). Now can we say that our children are lagging behind and neglected.
Sorry for giving such a long view in my first visit to your blog ,but i could not resist telling you about it.
About your blog it really looks so wonderful with the blueness of the clouds spread over.

Hello Anjali,

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting... I'm happy to know about your children exploring new things in the world of ICT...

I think you have given examples of Indian students and I have uploaded photographs of Canadian students for the same point I am trying to raise here. It's not about India or Canada, but about the whole world!... It's about students and teachers!! I convey the same message that today's generation is using ICT effectively. It's already their play-tool, a part of their life.... My concern is "we"... "teachers", who need to use the same tool effectively for creating instructional experiences for them. I have uploaded picts of classrooms where teachers every now and then plan a lot of activities for their kids to develop their skills with the use of ICT. How many school-teachers we know are exploiting ICT to its fullest in the classroom?.... If you read Juke's material, you may agree with his views... today's generation is using multi-stimuli ... and we are failing to provide them those many stimuli in schools/colleges/Universities... The upload is not to underestimate our kids, but to emphasise that we, teachers, spread all over this globe, might fail to update our skills...

Are we prepared for these kids? How many useful experiences, say sites or tools, are we able to introduce to them on our own laptops every new morning?
